This FNG site is at another washover pass. The pass is regularly used as a shortcut to the beach by ORV drivers, and many of the paths cut by ORVs threaten nests of Least Terns, Nighthawks and Wilsonžs Plovers, which nest regularly in this pass.
This year, I erected signs and fencing to direct traffic away from the pass, and this has been very effective at reducing himan impacts to this colony.
