  • leaves simple, silvery-gray, lanceolate to oblanceolate, entire (not lobed as in many ragweeds)
  • flowers inconspicuous, in axillary racemes of tiny bell-like structures
  • grasslands on loamy soils
  • Cameron, Jim wells, Kleberg and Nueces counties and northern Tamaulipas
  • federally listed as Endangered
