  • leaves in a basal rosette, twice-pinnately compound
  • flowers on long pedicels, with 4 yellow petals
  • fruit an oblong fleshy pod about 1/2 inch long, pointed at tip
  • mostly in naturally disturbed areas on floodplains of major streams (e.g., Nueces River)
  • sometimes in ordinary weedy areas
  • endemic to South Texas
  • records from Cameron, Dimmit, Hidalgo, La Salle, McMullen, Nueces and San Patricio counties
