Trichocoronis wrightii var. wrightii
  • slender annual with weak stems up to 10 inches long
  • leaves opposite on lower part of the stem, sometimes alternate on upper part, stalkless, smooth
  • flowers in white heads at the tips of branches
  • occurs in seasonally wet soils in wetlands
  • blooms following rains
  • South Texas and northern Mexico to California, but rare throughout range
